Houston Courier Executive Receives Volunteer of the Year Award
December 14, 2007--Houston, TX—Hot Shot Delivery, Inc., Houston’s leading provider of same day courier services and warehousing solutions, today announced that Eric Donaldson, Vice President of Hot Shot Delivery was the recipient of the 2007 Volunteer of the Year Award. This award was given to Mr. Donaldson and the employees of Hot Shot Delivery by the Kirksey Outreach Committee of Houston for their generous donations to the 2007 Adopt an Angel program.
The Kirksey Outreach Committee is a volunteer group comprised of Kirksey Architectural firm employees who have joined together to make a positive contribution in the Houston community. Founded in 1971, the Kirksey Group has become one of the largest architectural firms in Houston. Their Outreach Committee was created as a way for employees and management to give time and money to worthwhile charitable projects in the Houston area. Included in their many notable donation projects is the Neighborhood Center’s Adopt an Angel Program. Through the Outreach Committee, Kirksey and companies such as Hot Shot Delivery have impacted thousands of children throughout Houston.
Each year, Hot Shot Delivery adopts multiple members of a family as part of the Neighborhood Center’s Adopt an Angel program. The employees of this Houston courier company join together and purchase small items such as clothing, toys and groceries. In addition, Mr. Donaldson purchases all of the larger priced items that the newly adopted family may need throughout the coming year. The Kirksey Outreach Committee was moved by the amount that the Hot Shot Delivery courier company donated and voted unanimously to award the Volunteer of the Year Award to this Houston courier and messenger company.
